Happy Halloween! Today we celebrated Halloween.  We had halloween themed centers, a halloween parade, a monster trap building challenge and we played roll a monster.  Check out some of our work! FYI... please do NOT send candy as a snack, thanks! PM No school tomorrow!

This week we have been working on recognizing dot images and the number that they represent (subitizing), sequencing stories,  and representing our ideas about fall. Book orders will be sent home on Friday. FYI - Halloween Fun, we will be celebrating Halloween on Thursday, October 31st.  Your child is invited to wear their costume (without the mask or accessories).  Please send them already dressed in their costumes to celebrate with us.  Please do not send Halloween treats. - No school November 1,2019

Apples Apples Everywhere! Ask your child 4 steps to creating the perfect apple pie.  (tree, basket, ingredients, yum). We practiced cutting and gluing in the proper order.  Check out some of our work. Name Game We have spent the last couple week practicing writing our names on a whiteboard.  We should all be writing our name with only 1 upper and the rest lower by now.  Ask your child to show you. Center Time We have been working hard on many different skills during center time.  Check out some of our work. Healthy Hunger -an email was sent home from the school to let you know about Healthy Hunger.  For Kindergarten, we only do Healthy Snack two times a year.  Grades 1 to 4 can participate in the lunches each month.  To order you need to log on to the account.  Book Orders -October book orders were sent home, if you are ordering, please do so before Wednesday, October 15. Centers -New centers include a focus on Fall Changes, Printing Fall Words with Pictures, Painting Fall Leaves, Number Recognition Games, and Kitchen Reminder No school for any Auburn Bay students this Friday or Monday - Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello All! Welcome We hope you got our email today welcoming our newest addition Mrs.Wright to our kinder team! Math Time In the classroom we have been focusing on numbers 1-10 and recognizing the numeral.  We have also been working on counting to 15 by pointing to objects as we say the number.  Please practice these things at home with me!  We introduced a new math game for subtilizing called Find It. Name Game We are continuing to practice printing our names.  We would like to have all children writing their names with 1 uppercase and the rest lowercase letters.  Practice this at home.  Ask your child some of the names of children in the classroom. Reminders  - please send ONLY water to drink at school - please send 1-2 snacks - please dress for the weather - please practice zipping coats - PM kinder tomorrow we will be going outside!
