Welcome to February

Good Morning,

Here are some updates for the month of February:

Jump Rope for Heart 2020

On Tuesday, January 28th Auburn Bay School had the kick off assembly for “Jump Rope for Heart”.  You will have noticed that your child came home with a fundraising envelope (if you did not receive, it will go home on Monday)  with details for online and in person fundraising (you can do both).  It also outlines the different prizes students can earn. You can begin fundraising as soon as you wish and return the envelopes to your child’s homeroom teacher once you have finished.  The deadline for the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser is Thursday, February 20th.  You can return your envelopes anytime between now and then.  Please make sure your child’s info is on your envelope.

Jump Rope for Heart is completely optional.  It is to bring awareness to heart health for the month of February.  

We will not be having a special Jump Rope for Heart wrap up event but the students will be skipping during Phys. Ed for the next few weeks. 

Our schools goal is to have more participants involved and fundraising this year than last year.

Valentine's Day 

We will be exchanging Valentine's Cards on Wednesday, February 12.  There are 30 students in the morning class and 34 students in the afternoon class.  If you want to send your child with Valentine's, please have your child sign their name, however do not address them to anyone. (It takes too long to print friend's names on and to sort out when delivering.) We will be doing Valentine's themed activities that week, rather than having a party.
