-at word family

We have been working on -at family words.  We read the story Fat cat on a mat and completed a learn to draw of a fat cat on a mat.  We then wrote a sentence.  Some of us were able to analyze each others work by giving compliments and suggestions.  Check it out...

How can I help at home?
Over the last couple of weeks we have been focusing on the letters; f,a,d,t,q,p,v,b, k and g.  Please make help your child at home by having them write the upper and lowercase pairs of the letters above.  Please work with them to practice the sound(s) they make and words that begin with those sounds.

Other suggestions...
- work on -at family words
- work on other family words (-ake, -op, -en)
- practice rhyming
*turning these activities into games is always a fun way to review (I spy, scavenger hunts, memory etc...)
