We have been busy learning all about the river and fish.  We recently completed an art project based on a fish feelings book we read in class.  Our job was to use a pencil to draw a fish as big as our paper.  We then used the oil pastels to add color to our fish and cover all the pencil marks.  Then we recorded how our fish felt and why...

"My fish feels mad because someone invaded his territory!"

We have also had the pleasure of welcoming a new student teacher to our classroom, Mrs. Mantler!  She has been teaching an author study on Mo Willems.  Ask you child what their favourite Mo Willems character is so far...

We read Slop Soup by, Mo Willems and made our own class version of Slop Soup.  We discussed characters, recipes, more than and less than, speech bubbles and feelings.  So many fun ways to learn!
