In Literacy we have been working on sequencing ideas, adding detail to what we describe and retelling stories such as The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Three Bears. We are using Beginning, Middle, and End to help the students describe their ideas.
In Math we have been playing a game called Disappearing Dan. We draw a picture of a kid on the board and put a number in each part of him. The student gets to pick a number between 0 and 10, and the teacher asks a question about that number. For example, can you count from 4 to ten, backwards from 8, if I have 4 dollars and the candy is 3 dollars can I buy it, etc. We then erase the body part.
